As a Staff Engineer at you will lead the technical evolution of a platform revolutionizing medical practice communications. You will architect high-performance healthcare-grade systems capable of handling millions of automated calls while ensuring absolute security and reliability. This is a foundational leadership role shaping both technical architecture and engineering culture.

What you will do:

Architect and scale healthcare-grade systems designed to manage millions of concurrent calls with low latency and high reliability.
Establish the foundational engineering culture at Vocca defining best practices for system design code quality and technical documentation.
Mentor senior engineers and lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure the platform remains secure compliant and performant as the user base grows.

The ideal candidate:

Extensive experience building and scaling high-availability distributed systems ideally within healthcare or other highly regulated sectors.
Proven track record of leading complex architectural transitions and mentoring high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
Deep expertise in modern backend technologies cloud infrastructure and security protocols required for handling sensitive medical data.
