Christiana Medical Intensive Care Unit is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager.
ChristianaCares Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at Christiana Hospital is a 24-bed high acuity critical care unit staffed by approximately 95 nurses and a dedicated multidisciplinary team. This position requires a motivated Registered Nurse who will assist with the administrative direction for clinical practice and efficient care delivery. This position will share 24-hour responsibility.

Responsibilities:
In this role you will assist the Nurse Manager in the overall administrative direction for the clinical practice of nursing and delivery of high quality and efficient care to all patients utilizing the services of this area.
Shares 24-hour responsibility and accountability for all aspects of daily operational activity.
Directly supervises nursing and technical personnel: Assesses proficiency of staff Oversees daily staffing and scheduling needs of the department Evaluates staff performance Counsels staff members when performance issues are identified.
Participates in all hiring promotion salary adjustment and termination decisions. Functions as a highly transparent role model demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors which support professional development of staff and the strategic goals of ChristianaCare.
Identifies and develops strategies to improve the overall knowledge base and professionalism of staff.
Directs mentors and supports all level of staff on the floor.
Identifies potential future leaders and engages in succession planning.
Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements appropriate changes and system wide improvements.
Requirements:
This position is a full time position with a choice of (5) eight hour shifts or (4) ten hour shifts. ANMs are primarily scheduled as for off shift hours meaning evening or overnight hours.
Annual Compensation Range $110177.60 - $176280.00This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCares good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
