How youll contribute
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean sanitary and welcoming environment for patients staff and guests. Key duties include general cleaning tasks supply management and ensuring safety standards are met in coordination with plant operations.
- Perform dusting vacuuming sweeping mopping sanitizing and trash removal
- Replenish toiletry and linen supplies consistently
- Inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment
- Work with the plant operations team to maintain a safe risk-free environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and hospital standards
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma GED or combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid drivers license preferred.
Experience:
- Previous housekeeping in a hospital setting preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms offices and public areas while ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA
regulations. - Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital.
- Report any situations that may affect health and well-being of patients or employees.
- Assure that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
- Responsible for disposal of trash waste and other disposable materials in accordance with OSHA.
- Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
- Submit any patient personal belongings left behind to nursing supervisor.
- Follows P&Ps for terminal cleaning of a room.
- Follows instructions in use of germicidal solutions when cleaning.
Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
