Job Summary
POSITION: Tax Accountant (Level III)
FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Fulltime
LOCATION: Atlanta GA 30308 (100% on site)
SCHEDULE: 40hrs Monday Friday 8am-5pm
PAY RANGE: $29.00 30.05 hourly
(Exact compensation may vary based on skills experience and location. Base pay information is based on market location.)
ASSIGNMENT: ASAP (once onboarding clears) to 02.15.2027
Responsibilities:
The overall objective of this position is to ensure compliance with all applicable state and local tax requirements while minimizing the sales and use tax burden for the Company. This role in a 100% onsite presence at the Atlanta Location.
Responsible for Sales Tax Treatment guidance in an Equipment Finance Industry
Ensure that documentation is captured and meets Tax Department standards and requirements.
Provide support for audits as needed.
Review the accuracy & completion of appropriate sales tax exemption certificates.
Provide guidance and support on streamlining sales and use processes through technology improvements (a plus)
Required Qualifications:
Sales Tax Treatment Research Experience
Deep knowledge of sales tax code with the ability to interpret the code
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business related field with 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Monthly Multi-State Sales Tax Compliance Experience
Sales Tax Return Preparation & Filing knowledge
Experience with Vertex Indirect Tax Returns highly desirable
Proficient with General Ledger Account Reconciliation
Proficient Alteryx knowledge base. Build and troubleshoot Alteryx workflows for the sales and use compliance processes (a plus)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Equipment Finance experience a plus
Relational Database experience a plus (Access Hyperion Alteryx Tableau Micro-Strategy)
Sales Tax Research experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels such as from office equipment.
- The ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Use of computers and technology
