Job Summary

STR is seeking a Personnel Security (PERSEC) Specialist for our Woburn MA office. As a PERSEC Specialist you will work the day-to-day PERSEC services for Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) contracts. Responsibilities include processing Program Access Requests (PARs) managing program personnel databases providing guidance regarding the SAP nomination process conducting briefings and debriefings and additional administrative tasks for multiple government customers including visit certifications foreign travel reports and adverse information reports.

The successful candidate will develop a full understanding of 5220.22-M NISPOM 5205.07 DoD Manual Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives in support of USG compliance inspections.

What you will Do:

Maintain and update multiple personnel security databases including JADE SIMS and various DoD and IC customer-specific systems
Partner with Contractor Special Security Officers (CSSO) to provide excellent customer service to various programs and customers

Generate receive and track classified visit requests

Support for the security awareness and education programs
Act as SAP SCI Foreign Travel point of contact for the organization
Conduct SAP Nomination Process (SAPNP) and Personnel Security Questionnaire (PSQ) reviews and submissions
Ensure subcontractor compliance with all SAP PERSEC requirements
Participate in Government Security Compliance Inspections and corrective action activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers both security and program/technical representatives

Who you Are:

This position requires a Secret security clearance for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government
Bachelors Degree or 2-4 years of equivalent work experience

Nice to Haves:

Active Top-Secret Clearance
Experience with SIMS DISS and JADE databases
The ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD military/civilian personnel and industry partners
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint and Excel etc.)
Excellent written verbal and presentation skills
Understanding of government guidance to include the NISPOM and DoDM 5205.07

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $70900 - $87000

The salary range listed is based on external market data. Offers are based on factors such as but not limited to the candidates experience education training key skills/critical skills security clearances and prevailing market and business conditions.
