Job Summary

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment supporting neonatal pediatric and adult populations in a community hospital setting. This role is ideal for RTs with strong NICU and pediatric experience and is open to first-time travelers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to neonatal pediatric and adult patients across multiple units
  • Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation including ventilators BiPAP and CPAP
  • Administer respiratory medications and therapies including nebulizer treatments
  • Perform airway management suctioning and pulmonary toileting
  • Assist with or perform bronchoscopy procedures as needed
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies in the Emergency Department ICU and inpatient units
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Accurately document patient care and treatments in EPIC
  • Float to assigned units as needed based on patient and staffing needs
  • Participate in on-call coverage per department requirements
Requirements
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
  • Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license in hand (required)
  • Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
  • Neonatal and Pediatric experience required
  • Experience in NICU PICU Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Emergency Department strongly preferred
  • Current certifications required:
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • PALS
    • NRP
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet on-call requirements
  • Comfortable working in a community hospital and floating between units
