We are seeking a Sustainability Policy Analyst with strong analytical and writing capabilities to support our work across responsible business sustainable finance workforce issues and responsible AI. This role will focus on monitoring regulatory developments producingtimelyand accessible policy briefings and leading the content aspects of policy consultations. A key part of the role is to interpret policy changes brief internal and external stakeholders design structured feedback frameworks and synthesise stakeholder input into high-quality consultation submissions. The successful candidate will also interpret insights drawn from our datasets and connect them to evolving policy expectations and market trends.
About the Role
In this role as a Sustainability Policy Analyst you will:
Track major regulatory and policy developments across priority regions in areas including ESG disclosures labour rights responsible AI and sustainable finance.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of global policy trends relevant to our programmes.
Produce concise high-quality policy briefings and insight notes for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Translate complex regulatory documents and policy consultations into clear actionable summaries.
Support research and thought leadership with well-grounded policy analysis.
Analyse consultation themes and expectations toidentifyissues requiring stakeholder input.
Design structured frameworks guiding questions or templates to gather feedback efficiently and consistently.
Brief stakeholders on key policy developments to support informed contributions.
Consolidateand synthesise stakeholder feedback into high-quality consultation submissions and letters aligned with organisational priorities.
Ensure the accuracy clarity and policy nuance of all consultation outputs.
Interpret insights from our datasets (workforce social and AI governance) and assess their relevance toemergingor existing policy requirements.
Identifyopportunities to strengthen policy narratives with evidence from our data.
Provide regular policy updates and insight summaries to colleagues across the organisation.
Contribute policy context to engagement materials investor briefings stakeholder outreach and thought leadership.

About You
Youre a fit for the role of Sustainability Policy Analyst if your background includes:
Minimum of 2 years experience in policy analysis research regulatory affairs ESG responsible technology or related fields.
Strong academic or professional grounding in public policy political economy international affairs ESG regulation or responsible technology.
Familiarity with themes such as sustainability reporting labour rights responsible AI or sustainable finance.
Knowledge of evolving ESG regulationslike SFDR SDR CSRD CSDDDand frameworksincluding ISSB TISFDUNGP etc.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to distil complex policy content into clear concise insights.
Strong analytical skills including the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative insights and link them to regulatory trends.
Ability to lead content-driven aspects of policy consultations: analysing consultation themes briefing stakeholders designing feedback structures and drafting consultation responses.
Strong conceptual thinking with attention to accuracy nuance and policy coherence.
Highly organised capable of managing multiple policy timelines and producingtimely high-quality outputs.
Experience contributing to policy consultations or writing consultation submissions.
Understanding of how regulatory developments shape business practices investor expectations and ESG reporting.
Interest in responsible technology labour rights sustainable finance or related fields.
Comfortable with Excel fordata analysis and basic visualisation.
Experience with data tools/software (e.g. Stata Python Power BI/Tableau).
