Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) MSDU / PCU (Intermediate Care Unit)
Location: Rochester NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift 3x12 hours (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Local Candidate Requirement: Must reside outside a 75-mile radius
Compensation
Weekly Gross: $2275.92
W2 Rate: $22/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1484
Local Pay Rate: $52/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an MSDU / PCU (Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit) assignment. The ideal candidate will be confident managing higher-acuity patients requiring close monitoring while maintaining safe and efficient care delivery in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Required Qualifications (MUST HAVE)
Active New York State RN License (in hand; no exceptions)
Minimum 1 year of recent MSDU PCU or Stepdown experience
EPIC charting experience (required)
BLS certification (AHA required)
Ability to safely manage Med/Surg-level patient ratios (1:5 to 1:7)
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to intermediate-acuity adult patients
Monitor patient status including telemetry and vital signs
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes
Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed
Maintain compliance with hospital policies patient safety standards and regulatory guidelines
