Aboutthe Rooming Operations Department:
Rooming Operations plays a vital role in deliveringa seamlesstravel experience for our guests. Serving as the central communication hub with all our vendors this team focuses on managing hotel room allotmentsfrom updating and adjusting guest room inventory based on requests toensuringour Leaders haveaccommodationsthatsupportthe highest quality service. Additionally Rooming Operations works closely with our Sales and Marketing departments to align room inventory with our broader business goals.
The Seasonal Rooming Operations Assistant will play a key role in supporting the team with their guest accommodation workflow.The main responsibilities of this role include managing hotel room requests to ensure guests are matched with their idealaccommodations while also acting as a liaison with our vendors to ensure smooth booking addition you will update andmaintainan accurateinventory of guest accommodations andidentifyopportunities to troubleshoot system inefficiencies.This role requires someone who is organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.This position plays an important part inmaintainingstrong relationships with our partners across the globe.
Youllbe responsible formanaging hotel room requests from our dynamic sales team ensuring each guest finds their perfect Backroads haven.
Youllbecome a liaison with our partners and vendors resolving andtriagingspecial requests and ensuring seamless booking processes.
Your organizational skills willbenefityou when working in our systems to update andmaintainan accurate trip-by-trip guest accommodation inventory.
You will work to maintain strong relationships with our partners and vendors by fielding inquiries and answering questions in a timely manner.
Youllgaingreat timemanagement skills bymaintainingtimelycommunication with suppliers ensuring deadlines are met with precision.
Youllhelpidentifyand troubleshoot system bugs and inefficiencies.
Youllhave the opportunity toassistwith private trip coordination and other tasks as needed.
WhatYoullNeed to be Successful:
Strong attention to detail organization and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn with a drive to explorenew ideas.
Affinity for learning new systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with a strong emphasis on Excel.
Passion for travel and the Backroads mission.
On-Site Berkeley CA
4 days in-office 1 day work from home
Full time40 hoursper week
This is aseasonal positionstarting on 4/1/25 and ending on 9/31/25 depending on the needs of the department
