Job Summary

A Powder Coaterprepares surfaces applies dry powder coating using spray guns cures parts in an oven and ensures a durable quality finish following strict safety protocols cleaning equipment and maintaining records often working with conveyors and various metals in manufacturing settings.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation:Cleaning sanding masking and treating metal surfaces for proper adhesion.
Coating Application:Selecting colors loading powder and spraying evenly with spray guns (manual or automatic).
Curing:Moving parts into and out of high temperature curing ovens.
Quality Control:Inspecting finished products for defects coverage and adherence to standards troubleshooting issues.
Equipment & Area Maintenance:Cleaning spray guns booths and maintaining a safe organized workspace.
Documentation:Keeping records of coated parts colors and processes.
Safety:Adhering to all safety procedures wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and proper disposal of materials.

Skills and Qualifications

Attention to detailand manual dexterity.
Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
Understanding materials processes and basic equipment maintenance.
Physical strength to move parts and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced sometimes hot environment.

$18 - $22 an hour
