Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an Acoustic Intelligence (ACINT) SME in its Washington DC location. The ACINT will be responsible for improving upon existing or establishing new processes and systems using significant conceptualization reasoning and interpretation using solutions that are innovative unique and draw upon best practices based on expertise.

Essential Functions:

Extensively analyzes problems to seek understanding of the root cause of the problem.
Interface with engineering and academic teams and elevate significant problems to appropriate management and recommend resolutions.
Provides Subject Matter Expertise in submarine acoustic intelligence.
Understand and apply applicable training processes.
Develop plans and schedules for short-term work activities.

Interact with the customer through job assignments related system/product acceptance testing or hands-on user training
Works alongside submarine leadership and training teams to identify problems troubleshoot and recommend resolutions.

Communicates within and outside the company and customer organizations to influence practices approaches and concepts related to submarine installation and maintenance.
Responsible for process improvement in a mature naval training program ensuring the small cadre can maintain situational awareness aboard submarines. Drawing on best practices and lessons identified.

Qualifications:

ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE to start with ability to obtain TOP SECRET Clearance
Abilty to pass enhanced security screening procedures.
Mastery level of submarine sonar systems and acoustic interpretation.

20 years of experience in submarine acoustics; or bachelors degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
