Are you ready to lead transformational changes in Alaskas health care system The Department of Health is seeking a dynamic individual to serve as a Procurement Specialist 2 for the new and innovative Rural Health Transformation Program.

In this pivotal role you will:

• Develop award and administer journey-level procurement transactions with delegated authority
• Perform formal and informal procurements including Request for Information (RFI) Requests for Proposal (RFP) Waivers and Request for Alternate Procurements (RAPs) resulting in contract awards.
• Provide procurement assistance/services for the Office of Health Savings within the Commissioners office.
• Provide regular and timely maintenance and upkeep of procurement files

This position is in Juneau in the Alaska Office Building. We are in the heart of downtown Juneau near shopping and restaurants. Covered parking is provided in the adjacent State Office Building parking garage.

• Oral and Written Communication: Expresses information (for example ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example technical sensitive controversial); makes clear and convincing oral and written presentations; listens to others attends to nonverbal cues and responds appropriately.
• Reasoning: Identifies rules principles or relationships that explain facts data or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
