Job Summary
Job Title: Monitor Technician / EKG Technician
Location: Jamaica NY 11432
Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours per week (5 days/week)
Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
Pay Rate: $25 $27 per hour
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Monitor Technician / EKG Technician to support patient care in an acute care environment. This role is responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring accurate rhythm interpretation and timely communication of critical findings to the clinical care team to ensure patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Continuously monitor and accurately interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
Measure record and document vital signs in accordance with facility protocols
Identify cardiac rhythm changes and promptly notify nursing staff
Maintain troubleshoot and ensure proper functioning of cardiac monitoring equipment
Document monitoring activities and findings per established standards
Collaborate closely with nursing and clinical teams to support safe high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience
Proven experience obtaining and documenting vital signs
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
EKG and/or Telemetry certification (required)
