Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory handling materials and supporting shipping and receiving processes. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to operate various types of equipment safely.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts reach trucks and cranes for effective materials handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize operations and improve efficiency in warehouse distribution processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking and packing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 15 pounds) as required by the job duties.
- Experience in manufacturing settings is a plus but not mandatory.
