The role: As part of the integrated Development Engineering team you will work in a fast-paced and customer focused environment. Reporting to the Development Engineering Supervisor you will be actively involved in a variety of technical tasks in all aspects of municipal operations systems including general department inquiries and correspondence; responding to BC One Calls; investigating municipal statutory rights of way; reviewing and approving various engineering permits; drawing reviews related to building permit applications; and performing field inspections as required.

Qualifications :
Education/Training
- Two (2) year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related field from a recognized post-secondary educational institution.
- Introductory training in mapping and/or GIS applications.
- Must possess and maintain valid drivers licence and provide and maintain a clear drivers abstract as per City policy.
- Eligibility for registration with the Applied Science and Technologists Association of BC (ASTTBC). (Preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of one (1) year related experience in simple design layout construction and as-built recording of civil municipal projects within the past five (5) years or an equivalent combination of experience and training/education.
