Were looking for a Trade Assistant to join our Energy & Utilities Electricity team based in Wiri Auckland. This is a full-time role with full training provided working alongside experienced field crews on electricity distribution and streetlighting projects.

Youll support the team with non-electrical civil and mechanical tasks learn how the industry operates and gain hands-on experience on real infrastructure projects. The work is mainly outdoors hands-on and varied ideal for someone who wants to be active learn practical skills and build toward a long-term career.

For the right person this role can be the first step toward trade training apprenticeships or other progression opportunities within Downer.

Youre motivated reliable and keen to learn experience isnt essential.

Youll bring:
A Class 1 NZ drivers licence (Class 2 and WTR an advantage)
A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team

Physical fitness and comfort working outdoors
