JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general guidance of the Assistant Bar Manager the Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized bar area ensuring the quality and consistency of drinks managing inventory and providing exceptional customer service to enhance the guest experience.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to drink recipes and customer preferences.
- Garnish drinks to enhance presentation and flavor.
- Take beverage orders from patrons process food orders and coordinate with the wait staff to ensure smooth service.
- Create and suggest specials from the drink menu to boost sales and enhance the customer experience.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area ensuring all glassware is clean and ready for use.
- Maintain and manage bar inventory restocking items as needed throughout the shift.
- Operate the POS (point-of-sale) system and cash register for processing payments quickly and accurately.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures including completing inventory checks and cleaning tasks.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe work environment for both staff and patrons.
- Ensure customers meet the legal drinking age by checking IDs before serving alcohol.
- Handle customer complaints or issues promptly maintaining a pleasant and professional demeanor.
- Work closely with other team members including the barback and wait staff to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive teamwork dynamic.
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
