Role Overview
As a Senior Accountant you will play a key role in Ecolabs global finance team responsible for developing financial statements and reports enabling successful month-end closure and reporting and supporting compliance with international accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic purpose-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day and month-end accounting activities including journal entries accruals reconciliations tax reports cost reporting and analysis accounts payable review and fixed asset maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements in accordance with GAAP IFRS and company policies.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor and reconcile balance sheet accounts ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws regulations and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with GCC tax reporting and filing requirements.
- Experience in treasury and cash management will be preferred.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures.
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Participate in the preparation of external financial audits and provide necessary support and documentation.
- Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance preferably in a multinational environment.
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA) ACCA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with large ERP systems including iScala SAP Oracle and Hyperion and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage ad hoc projects and reports in addition to routine duties.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver results within time constraints.
