Job Description
The Systems and Technology Planning Manager will focus on the management of technology projects resource management including budgets and coordination of resources strategic planning and serve as a technology liaison between Gwinnett ITS Water Resources and other county departments as needed on technology initiatives.
Essential Duties- Technology management
- IT infrastructure software applications and licensing.
- Upgrades and new implementations.
- Project leadership
- Overseeing the planning execution and delivery of complex IT projects including managing project scope and timelines.
- Resource management
- Build relationships and allocate resources effectively.
Other Job Requirements/Information
- Strong technical understanding and application to business processes.
- Excellent communications skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to drive complex initiatives and manage diverse stakeholders.
Grade
The grade for this position is C52(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a closely related field; AND
- Five years of planning experience including two years of supervisory experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Valid Drivers License from state of residency
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Manager IT Analyst IT Consultant or similar role
- Experience in project management
- Experience documenting technical requirements
- Experience with technology infrastructure projects involving fiber network connectivity wireless access and general network connectivity
- Experience with technology software projects involving various software applications as well as management of applications.
- Proficiency in MS applications Visio PowerPoint Word and Excel
