Senior MEP Design Engineer (FEED/Detailed Engineering)

Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)
Location: Doha Qatar
Client: One of the leading Oil & Gas consultants in Qatar

Role Summary

Seeking a highly experienced Senior MEP Engineer with 12 years of consultancy background specializing in front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed engineering for oil & gas projects. This position focuses strictly on engineering design and documentation.

Responsibilities

Lead preparation and review of MEP design drawings (mechanical electrical plumbing) for major oil & gas facilities
Conduct load calculations layout development equipment sizing schematic diagrams and detailed specifications
Coordinate design inputs with architectural structural and civil disciplines to ensure integrated solutions
Ensure designs comply with Qatari codes international standards and client project requirements
Produce comprehensive BOQs technical documentation and design reports for FEED and detailed engineering phases
Facilitate technical design meetings and provide clarifications during project stages
Review and approve contractor/shop drawings related to MEP scope

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 12 years experience in a design-focused role at consultancy firms primarily within oil & gas sector
Proven expertise in FEED and detailed engineering deliverables for complex oil & gas projects
Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and other MEP design software
Deep knowledge of local regulations (QCS) and international standards (ASHRAE NFPA IEC)
MMUP/UPDA certification or equivalent preferred

Note: We will only consider profiles with a focus on design engineering and oil & gas consultancy firms experience. Profiles related to maintenance/supervisor or site-related are not considered for this position.
