Job Summary (List Format):
- Perform all aspects of nuclear medicine patient exam activities at a technical level under general supervision.
- Specialize in conducting diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging studies.
- Obtain patient history explain procedures and address patient concerns to ensure comfort and confidence.
- Operate and maintain nuclear scanning imaging equipment.
- Measure prepare and administer concentrations of radioactive isotopes for diagnostic studies as prescribed.
- Properly identify prepare and/or administer medications/substances within scope of practice.
- Adhere to quality assurance protocols and radiation safety standards for patient staff and self.
- Comply with regulatory laws standards and protocols (The Joint Commission federal state local).
- Maintain accurate documentation logs charts and records (both electronic and paper).
- Ensure adequate supply of consumables for quality testing.
- Conduct routine daily weekly monthly and periodic maintenance and function checks on imaging equipment.
- May assist in other radiology areas as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as required and directed.
Requirements:
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB.
- Minimum of 2 years NMT experience required.
- BLS and ARRT certifications required.
- Weekend work required (every 5th or 6th weekend).
- No on-call requirements.
- Compliance with health system-wide standards (skills checklist license verification etc.).
