Job Description:
The Client is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Advanced Data Analytics team and contribute to enterprise-level complex business solutions. As a Data Scientist at BAE Systems Inc you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI and machine learning enterprise-grade solutions. We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist with 6 years of professional experience in building and deploying machine learning algorithms with a focus on AI/ML and large language models. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and deploying robust machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems from supply chain factory operation workforce and logistics. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end solutions of design develop and deploy robust machine-learning algorithms including large language model.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Conduct data discovery and analysis by cleaning preprocessing and transforming raw data into usable formats ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Produce visualizations and insights with the goal of communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop and train large language models using deep learning techniques such as transformers and recurrent neural networks.
- Experience working with large datasets and high-performance computing environments.
- Strong understanding of data modeling statistical inference and machine learning techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience with Docker and containerization
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and big data processing (e.g. AWS Glue Apache Spark)
Required Skills:
- 6 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on generative AI and machine learning.
- Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs) and their applications in AI.
- Experience with Agent RAG system and its application in data science and AI.
- Proficiency in Python/R programming languages and popular machine learning libraries such as langchian scikit-learn TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau Power BI and others. Familiarity with cloud-based services and solutions such as AWS Azure and Dataiku.
Preferred skills:
- Bachelors
- Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or a related field
- We are looking to have a candidate that can ingest COTs systems documentation (user guides development manuals DB ERDs training material etc.) and create an application data mapping to a business normalization standard called OAGI that will provide standardized data taxonomy and dictionaries for out Enterprise data mapping solutions.
- It will enable the following features. Standardization: The OAGIS standard provides a consistent model for these messages ensuring that data can be reliably shared between different applications.
- Interoperability: BODs enable different systems to work together by establishing a common business language for the exchange of information.
