Job Summary

The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist supports the design implementation and evaluation of quality initiatives that enhance employee health and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role is critical in advancing Denver Health employees safety. The QI Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to drive measurable improvements in clinical care operational processes and workplace safety.

Essential Functions:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data and build reports and presentations for leadership peers and committees ensuring accuracy and timeliness. (20%)
  • Compliance: Be familiar with OSHA requirements and critically appraise Denver Healths adherence to these requirements. (10%)
  • Process Improvement: Apply quality improvement methodologies (e.g. PDSA Lean Six Sigma) to evaluate workflows streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency. (20%)
  • Scholarly Work: Present work on employee health initiatives with the academic community. (20%)
  • Employee Experience: Collect and analyze feedback to inform strategies that improve access coordination and satisfaction with their interface with Infection Prevention and Occupational Health. (20%)
  • Committee Participation: Facilitate or support quality committees workgroups and cross-departmental projects focused on clinical and operational improvement. (10%)


Education:

  • Masters Degree MPH preferred Required


Work Experience:

  • 1-3 years 1-3 years experience in healthcare quality improvement. Required


Licenses:


    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

    • Familiarity with occupational health regulations.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of change management strategies
    • Strong data analysis writing and reporting skills (Excel Word and Powerpoint required; REDCap recommended).
    • Excellent communication and project management skills with ability to influence cross-functional teams.
    • Strong verbal and written skills
