Dignity Health Mercy Hospital of Folsom is the community hospital serving the Sierra foothills communities of Folsom El Dorado Hills Granite Bay Cameron Park Shingle Springs and Rescue. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Environmental Services Technician youll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards.
Every day you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers paper towel dispensers and other supplies as well as deliver clean linens.
Job Requirements
- Basic housekeeping practices and procedures Proper handling/disposal of infectious waste Proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals and equipment Basic floor care practices
- Knowledge of proper cleaning sanitation infectious waste floor and carpet care including knowledge of aseptic procedures detergent/germicide solution and proper use and cleaning of equipment proper use of safety standards and procedures in housekeeping skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent
