Job Summary
The Aftercare Worker is responsible for supervising and engaging students in a safe supportive and structured environment after regular school hours. This role includes facilitating activities assisting with homework managing behavior and ensuring the overall well-being of all children in the program.
Job Responsibilities
Supervision & Safety
Monitor students at all times to ensure safety and proper conduct.
Maintain accurate attendance records and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Enforce program rules and school policies consistently and positively.
Program Support
Plan and lead age-appropriate activities such as games crafts and enrichment projects.
Assist students with homework or quiet study time as needed.
Prepare and distribute snacks according to health and safety guidelines.
Job Requirements
Experience working with children (school camp daycare or youth programs).
Ability to manage groups and engage students effectively.
Strong communication patience and problem-solving skills.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
