Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Panel Designer to design and develop electrical control panels for
industrial automation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate panel
layouts schematics wiring diagrams and BOMs while ensuring compliance with industry
standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design electrical control panels for PLC VFD MCC PCC and automation systems
- Prepare panel layout drawings schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams
- Select electrical components such as MCB MCCB contactors relays PLCs VFDs SMPS HMI and safety devices
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with IEC / IS standards and electrical safety norms
- Coordinate with project engineers production and commissioning teams
- Provide technical support during panel manufacturing testing and commissioning
- Modify and update designs as per customer or project requirements
- Maintain drawing revisions and documentation control
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma / BE / in Electrical Engineering
- 13 years of experience in electrical panel design (Industrial Automation preferred)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN
- Strong knowledge of control circuits and power wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and GA drawings
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Siemens Schneider ABB L&T products
- Knowledge of PLC I/O wiring and industrial automation systems
- Familiarity with panel manufacturing standards and best practices
Soft Skills:
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under project deadlinesTeam player with problem-solving skills
