How youll contribute

A Supply Chain Coordinatorwho excels in this role:

• Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations.

• Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.

• Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.

• Receives shipments logs receipts enters data into the inventory system delivers items to departments or other facilities and reports/documents errors or damages to management.

• Answers the telephone receiving dock and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately.

• Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery.

• Processes outgoing mail.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

The ideal applicant for this role will be able to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision. They will possess critical thinking skills and exercise decisive judgment. Additional requirements include:

• High school diploma or the equivalent is required.

• Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.

• Effective English communication (read write speak and understand).

• Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.

• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may be present.

• Frequent bending/stooping standing walking keyboard data entry; occasional climbing kneeling sitting squatting; rare running.

• Ability to push/pull 0- 25 lbs constantly; 26- 75 lbs frequently; >75 lbs occasionally.

• Non-patient lifting/carrying 0- 25 lbs constantly; 26- 75 lbs frequently; >75 lbs rarely.

• Generally rare exposure to biohazardous waste blood/body fluids communicable diseases; rare exposure to asbestos/lead cytotoxic chemicals dust hazardous chemicals gases/vapors/fumes hazardous medications; latex exposure rare.
