Starting Rate: $17.61 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase yearly up to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $19.18.
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $19.73
Please Note: This is a temporary casual position without staff accommodation; applicants must have or be able to secure their own housing. Availability must include a minimum of 2 days per week with 8 hours per shift contingent upon business levels permitting
Job Duties Include:
- Complete Daily Operations (i.e. opening and closing duties daily cleaning dining room preparation moving and arranging tables and chairs reservation bookings confirmations and cancellations coordinating FOH and BOH with regards to services guests allergies VIPs etc.)
- Meet greet and seat guests and maintain daily floor plans to suit forecasted guest and staffing levels
- Handle guest requests and complaints in a professional and polite manner
- Perform call backs to guests and update reservations information in Open Table
- Assign tables and control flow of service at the door with reservations and walk-in guests
- Follow LQA and Forbes standards
- Maintaining an extensive knowledge of menu items beverage offerings and restaurant operations
- Assist servers and food porters as needed (setting up tables side duties etc.)
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have Pro-Serve Certification
- Previous food and beverage experience required
- Previous Open Table or similar reservation system experience an asset
- Must be able to carry and serve 3 plates at one time
- Schedule flexibility including early mornings late nights weekends holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs and be able to be on your feet for 8 hours or more
