About the role.

Were looking for a proactive and commercially focused Management Accountant to join our Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Finance Team. Acting as a key business partner to our Plant Operations and Engineering teams youll provide critical financial insight that supports efficient manufacturing performance drives continuous improvement and strengthens our financial controls.

This is a6 monthFTC on a part time basis of around24 to 30-hours per week of which 2/3-days per week on-site with 1-day Hybrid working. There will be some requirements to travel especially in the firstfew months whilst familiarising yourself with the business and the roleat timesyoullalsobe required to travel to our HQ in Scarborough North Yorkshire at time.

Whatyoullbe doing

In this varied and influential role you will:

  • Act as aFinanceBusinessPartner to Plant Managers and Engineering teams providing insight and challenge.

  • Attend regular plant performance and review meetings offering financial support and recommendations.

  • Prepare and analyse financial and management information for the manufacturing plants.

  • Lead plant month-end close activities including cost and variance analysis and performance interpretation.

  • Produce routine management reports and deliver total delivered cost conclusions vs. standards and forecasts.

  • Report weekly risks and opportunities across plants highlighting required mitigation actions.

  • Validate and assess capital investment proposals and cost-saving initiatives.

  • Suggest improvements to financial controls and contribute to streamlining reporting processes.

  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting cycles.

  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis for manufacturing projects and capital expenditure.

Accountabilities.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manufacturing Business Partner and the Director of Finance for Manufacturing; you will be part of a small Finance Team working within the and Plant. You will need to demonstrate a flexible challenging and dynamic approach. Other responsibilities:

  • Completion of weekly Financial Statements month end processing and reporting in a clear and easily understood format for the wider plant team.
  • Working with plant colleagues to produce and report annual Budgets including both financial and operational metrics.
  • Responsible for quarterly re-forecasting of Usage and Rate Variances for ingredients labour and energy etc.
  • Complete Overhead Analysis and Account Reconciliations
  • Schedule regular Financial Performance Reviews with Operational Teams
  • Costing of New Product Developments with the wider plant teams
  • Attend Plant Operational Reviews

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

  • Qualified by Experienceorworking towards/completedCIMA (or equivalent).

  • Ideally abackground in manufacturingand afast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable working across departments with confident communication skills toboth financial and operational teams

  • Systems knowledge of SAP with integrated Standard Costing or similar system experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Proven ability to implement effective financial controls.

  • Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and collaboratively.

  • Strong ability to work effectively with internal customers and stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working within a matrix reporting environment.

  • Experience analysing and reporting on financial performance.

  • Able to analyse understandinterpretand present financial results to various levels across the business.

Location.

Youllbeeitherbased at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. Ifyouvespotted our three wind turbines thenyoullknow where we are! With about 400 employees on sitewereone of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products such as our ShakeShakeFries.

Or you could be based at our Wombourneplant in together oursmall butperfectly formed team of over 110 colleagues produce our famous (and well loved) potato Smiles as well as our pre-baked Jacket Spudsand hash browns.
