Job Summary

Work Arrangement

On-Site at Fort Liberty NC with CONUS and OCONUS TDYs up to 120 days. Contractor required to beavailable for immediate recall (1 hours) in case of Command Directives.

Job Overview

Intelligence Graphic Artists on contract will produce print graphics in support of finished intelligence(FINTEL) and will ensure intelligence products effectively convey information and comply withIntelligence Community standards. The Graphic Artist will take draft products and documentation fromconcept to completion ensuring each graphical document delivers the correct information in an easy-to understandformat.

Essential Functions

  • Provide support in the creation of value-added intelligence products.
  • Work independently with no required oversite.
  • Responsible for creating and modifying graphics illustrations brochures manuals publicationsand other artwork to better communicate textual content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to fully understand product details goalsand objectives.
  • Research and create maps pictures charts bar scales and graphics that highlight key themes inproducts.
  • Develop and maintain databases of stored graphics to quickly create products. They will operatestandard computer hardware and software to prepare revise print and store text illustrationsgraphs and charts and assist with basic illustrations and detail from models sketches memorywritten or oral instructions and imagination.
  • Select font type draw lettering layout materials and perform duties. They will determine thestyle technique and medium best suited to produce the preferred effects and conform toreproduction requirements.
  • Listen and work with analysts to make recommendations that assist illustrating key themes ingraphical format. They will quickly grasp complex topics identify main themes and while usingimagination deliver high-quality content for the intended audience in text and pictures.
  • Analyze information and determine the clearest and most logical way to graphically communicateinformation for greatest comprehension and will generate innovative ideas for content andworkflow solutions while meeting with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics areappropriately addressed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Understanding of intelligence concepts to interpret data effectively and design graphics alignedwith mission goals.
  • Ability to learn and apply new design tools techniques and technologies.
  • Knowledge of geospatial or data visualization tools like ArcGIS or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelors degree or minimum four (4) years of experience working in a professional environmentin lieu of a degree.
  • DOD DoS DHS or equivalent training/course completion preferred.

Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of SOF and or CT intelligence experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience in data visualization and a DoD environment.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with graphic design and layout.

Frequently required to sit and to reach to use computers and other office equipment

  • Medically able to deploy to foreign area advanced bases. Able to wear body armor helmet and otherPPE when required. Able to run walk crawl moderate distances.

Security Clearance

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance U.S. Citizenship required.
