Basic Job Functions:
In this role you will design a variety of steel racking systems including Tuberacks Drive-In Cantilever Pushback and Pallet Flow racks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Creative Engineering: Design safe efficient and cost-effective steel racking systems that meet project requirements and comply with applicable codes and standards. Each project presents unique challenges.
Technical Analysis: Utilize industry software to analyze structural frames beams bracing mezzanines and platforms to ensure structural integrity and performance.
Collaboration: Partner closely with Project Managers the Design Department and cross-functional teams to clearly communicate engineering requirements and support seamless project execution.
Design Review: Review and verify structural drawings for accuracy and compliance.
Continuous Learning: Pursue ongoing professional development by collaborating across teams exploring innovative solutions and building diverse engineering expertise within the organization.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering/Architectural Engineering from an ABET Accredited school.
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam prior to hire date.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An educational focus on structural engineering.
- Basic knowledge of building construction.
- Understanding of current building codes and standard industry practices.
- Experience in the field of steel rack supported structures.
