Description

The Waste Sales Representative Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Waste Sales Representatives (Region) focused on driving net-new customer acquisition across all waste service lines of business (LOBs). These hunter roles will target new accounts using data-driven strategies and sell a full suite of services including Drum Services Containerized Waste Services (CWS) Bulk Services and Clean Pack Services. This position will ensure the team executes aggressive growth strategies while maintaining operational alignment and delivering exceptional customer experiences. This position will report directly to the Regional Sales VPs and dotted line to VP National Product Leader.

This is an agnostic position that does not report to a specific pillar. Each pillar offers unique advantages based on customer segment waste volumes and expertise. The Sales Manager will serve as the gatekeeper ensuring that the services quoted are in the best interest of the customer and align with leaderships expectations (volume segmentation expertise)

Responsibilities
  • Hire train coach and lead Waste Sales Representatives to achieve revenue and customer acquisition goals. Provide ongoing mentorship to these roles by setting clear objectives KPIs and standards Ensure customer satisfaction; promote communication and coordination between operations and customer service to deliver exceptional service to clients; handle disputes and conflicts and troubleshoot with clients (when requested); support contract and relationship management; support collection of invoiced revenue form customers; complete monthly Revenue and Receivable Report
  • Develop and implement strategies to target net-new customers using e-Manifest and other market intelligence tools. Oversee Region & District specific planning and pipeline development to maximize market penetration.
  • Ensure representatives are effectively selling all waste service lines with a primary focus on Drum CWS Bulk and Clean Pack.
  • Work closely with district operations leaders (DVP) NPL Sales Operations Marketing and analytics teams to develop targeting tools and campaigns and seamless executions of sales plans
  • Participate in joint sales calls with representatives for strategic or high value accounts. Make outbound calls to support closing large deals and strengthen customer relationships
  • Provide leadership level support during negotiations and presentations for major opportunities. Act as a resource for complex proposals and pricing strategies.
  • Present District and Region sales results forecasts and strategies to regional leadership regularly.
  • Ensure Salesforce CRM utilization by monitoring KPIs like new account acquisition revenue growth margin improvement etc
  • Drive accountability for quote accuracy and pricing strategies by holding Weekly calls outlining clear performance expectations KPIs and accountability standards for the team.
  • May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business


Qualifications
  • Proven success in new business development and strategic selling.
  • Strong understanding of waste management services and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree: Business Administration/Related
  • Experience:5 to 7 years
  • Alternative:Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
