Job Summary

Purpose:
This position will provide pre-hospital care in an industrial setting. They will be responsible for patrolling a location to prevent theft and violence securing entry points responding to emergencies and using a firearm when necessary to protect people and property. The EMT will also be responsible for monitoring surveillance equipment de-escalating situations documenting incidents and maintaining security logs. This position may be required to work 12-hour shifts weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Provide immediate medical aid in potential dangerous dynamic environments.
- Assess patients under extreme stress and potential dangerous conditions.
- Provide advanced medical support for other team members.
- Carry and be proficient with a firearm for self-defense and the defense of others.
- Ensure that all medical and rescue operations are conducted safely within an industrial environment.
- Regularly patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to check for hazards security violations and unauthorized individuals.
- Monitor and secure entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Quickly and effectively respond to alarms incidents and threats. This includes using force or a weapon when necessary to regain control or protect others.
- Provide a visible security presence to protect personnel property and visitors from harm harassment or theft.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities incidents and suspicious activity. Report these findings to supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with some experience in a law enforcement industrial security or EMT role preferred.
- Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a law enforcement industrial security or EMT role.
- Emergency Medical Technician - Basic certification
- OPOTA Firearms certification
