Enterprise Technology is the Technology organisation responsible for the design build and ongoing maintenance of the systems owned by the Group Functions (Risk Compliance Finance Core Banking Corporate Functions and Deputy COO). The organisation consists of over 8000 people working in collaboration across 14 countries to support over 3000 applications.
FCDP (Finance Cloud Data Platform) is a critical component of the overall Finance architecture and will form one of the key building blocks for the FDS (Finance Data Service) programme.
In this role you will:
- Working within the FCDP Team Design deploy and maintain scalable highly available and secure cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.
- Using Google Cloud Platform and products such as BigQuery Cloud Storage Cloud Logging Pub/Sub and Dataflow.
- Be part of a team that performs sustainable continuous improvement identifying and removing organisational barriers affecting the team processes and products owned
- Using Confluence to detail technical designs and user instructions.
- Using JIRA to provide progress updates on development work.
- Effectively work with diverse and widely distributed teams.
- Be able to advise others on technology solution and explain designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience of Google Cloud Platform and interacting with Cloud Storage Big Query and Cloud Logging.
- Familiar with agile scrum processes
- Experienced SQL Engineer with development deployment and operations in a cloud environment
- Experience of working through a product backlog in JIRA.
- Experience of working as a DevOps Engineer working through design build testing and implementation.
- Ability to work effectively in a global team structure and embrace diversity
This role is based in Sheffield and offers hybrid working.
