Department:Emergency-Our Chelsea Emergency Department has experienced physicians and nurses with advanced training in emergency medicine thatprovidecare365 daysa year in the 24-hour Emergency Department. More than18000 patientsare treated each year for emergencies rangingfrom life threatening cardiac arrests and strokesto major injuries and accidents to more minor injuries. Facilities include afive bayobservation center for observation and testing before returning home as well as 20 private exam rooms adding a greater degree of privacy for patients.
Location:Chelsea MI
Pay:$16.67-23.33 per hour based upon applicable on the job patient care experience shift premiums when working afternoons overnights and weekend shifts

Position Purpose:
Under the direction of a registered nurse the Emergency Room Technicianis responsible fordirect patient care considering age specific developmentalculturaland spiritual needs. Demonstrates unit/area-designated competencies.Assistsinestablishingand maintaining a patient care environment that is cleansafeand conducive to patient/family well-being.
Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success. Our Emergency Techs perform nursing care as delegated by the RNin an effort toidentify/attaintreatment goals such as:
Applies support/orthopedic devices such as splints crutches slings
Obtains routine vital signs painscoreand temperature
Applies warm/cold therapies (warm blankets ice packs warm soaks)
Routine oxygen therapy pulse oximetry
Assistin preparing the body following death
Promptly answers call lights
Assists with Quality indicators (crash cart integrity checks refrigerator temperature logsaccucheckquality controls urine dipstick controls)
Shift Available:5PM-5AM
Status Available:Full time benefit eligible (72 hoursper pay period every two weeks)
Required Qualifications
High school diploma GED or a minimum of 18 years of age.
Recent training/experience with phlebotomy and startingIVsand experience working in an Emergency Department or Emergency Response
