Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Providence RI
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Assignment Details

• Shift: Day Shift 8 5 schedule

• Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

• Weekly Gross Pay: $3238

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Providence RI. The ideal candidate will support complex interventional and vascular procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care safety and sterile technique in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with interventional radiology and endovascular procedures

• Scrub and circulate during procedures while maintaining a sterile field

• Set up and operate interventional radiology equipment and procedure rooms

• Interpret and respond appropriately to cardiac dysrhythmias

• Support laser-assisted and image-guided procedures

• Prepare patients for procedures including positioning and monitoring

• Utilize vascular closure devices such as Perclose and StarClose

• Administer and manage medications using automated dispensing systems (Omnicell)

• Ensure compliance with radiation safety infection control and procedural protocols

• Accurately document procedures and patient care per departmental standards

Required Clinical Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience

• Experience with a wide range of interventional procedures including:

  • Adrenal and renal angiography

  • Genitourinary angiography

  • Embolization procedures

  • Gastrostomy nephrostomy and cholecystostomy

  • Ureteral and renal artery stent placement

  • Uterine arterial embolization

  • Endovascular interventions

Required Skills

• Scrub and circulating experience in IR

• Laser-assisted procedures

• Equipment setup and sterile field maintenance

• Vascular closure systems (Perclose StarClose)

• Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT (R)

• BLS

• CCI RCIS
