Job Summary
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist
Location: Providence RI
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Assignment Details
Shift: Day Shift 8 5 schedule
Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Weekly Gross Pay: $3238
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in Providence RI. The ideal candidate will support complex interventional and vascular procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care safety and sterile technique in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians with interventional radiology and endovascular procedures
Scrub and circulate during procedures while maintaining a sterile field
Set up and operate interventional radiology equipment and procedure rooms
Interpret and respond appropriately to cardiac dysrhythmias
Support laser-assisted and image-guided procedures
Prepare patients for procedures including positioning and monitoring
Utilize vascular closure devices such as Perclose and StarClose
Administer and manage medications using automated dispensing systems (Omnicell)
Ensure compliance with radiation safety infection control and procedural protocols
Accurately document procedures and patient care per departmental standards
Required Clinical Experience
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
Experience with a wide range of interventional procedures including:
Adrenal and renal angiography
Genitourinary angiography
Embolization procedures
Gastrostomy nephrostomy and cholecystostomy
Ureteral and renal artery stent placement
Uterine arterial embolization
Endovascular interventions
Required Skills
Scrub and circulating experience in IR
Laser-assisted procedures
Equipment setup and sterile field maintenance
Vascular closure systems (Perclose StarClose)
Interpretation of dysrhythmias
Certifications & Licensure
ARRT (R)
BLS
CCI RCIS
Active State License (as applicable)
