What youll be doing as Director of Sales:
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing to develop a marketing plan targeting market niches and segments.
- Monitor and review sales production adjusting activities and priorities to achieve goals.
- Establish account qualification criteria and use market research to identify and prioritize accounts.
- Maintain responsibility for selected key accounts.
- Ensure frequent and open communication between the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing and properties.
- Set up and oversee a sales administration system for portfolio and database management.
- Optimize room utilization by assessing demand and supply.
- Lead manage and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve budgeted sales.
- Establish team sales goals and allocate key accounts to team members.
- Direct the sales team in achieving annual business targets representing the hotel in external sales presentations and negotiating contracts with customers and vendors.
What were looking for:
- Proven Sales experience in the hospitality industry with knowledge of the Saudi Arabia market.
- Prior experience gained from working in hotel/serviced apartment market.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own and others tasks through to conclusion.
- Resourceful and able to think creatively.
- Literacy in software applications preferably in travel and hospitality operating software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage a range of activities simultaneously.
- Ability to drive for results and motivate others to achieve their potential.
- Competency in Microsoft applications (Word Excel Power Point) and hotel property management systems (HIS or similar).
- High proficiency in English language oral and written skills
- Effective problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain composure at all times.
- A passion for excellence.
