As a Clinical Governance & Audit Consultant you will contribute to our clinical governance strategy by implementing quality assurance and risk controls. This ensures that the services delivered by both internal clinical services and external providers meet the highest standards of quality for our customers. Your role is crucial in driving continuous improvement within our operational teams aligning with Bupa Globals clinical governance framework. You will manage and deliver clinical audits analyse findings and work closely with various stakeholders to foster a culture of continual quality improvement.

How youll help us make health happen:

  • Deliver the clinical audit program across the Global Operating Model working with Heads of Clinical Services and training leads to drive clinical quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain documented processes audit tools audit programs and reporting mechanisms.
  • Support the development and assessment of clinical competencies within the global case management service.
  • Conduct clinical audits for Global Case Management Medical Advisory Team and Service Partners providing support to regional audit leads.
  • Collect and collate clinical audit data identify actions and share learning.
  • Address gaps in the standard of care or advice delivered by Bupa ensuring corrective actions are effective.
  • Analyse audit data including themes and recurring issues and provide oversight at the BG Clinical Governance Committee.
  • Manage the implementation and delivery of the clinical audit program across HCMs partners working with the Network Team to drive clinical quality assurance and improvement.
  • Undertake specific projects or clinical incidents as agreed with the Head of HCM Governance and Clinical Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • A degree in medicine or equivalent being a qualified Doctor with an active license to practice is essential.
  • Experience in operational clinical quality audits and analysis is essential.
  • Previous experience in a clinical business or clinical assurance role is essential.
  • Experience of reporting for regulatory bodies is essential.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and the ability to build internal and external contacts.
  • Excellent communication skills including influencing and negotiating.
  • Ability to analyse data and create reports and presentations.
  • Sound working knowledge of Bupas products and processes.
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload.
  • Sound understanding of customer insight.
