Accountant (mfd)
Job Summary
What you will do
- You play a key role in preparing timely and accurate monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with German commercial law for our German entities.
- You ensure that external accounting and tax advisory firms deliver precise and punctual reports that meet our standards.
- You take ownership of clean and reliable bookkeeping including the clarification of general ledger accounts as well as the monitoring of provisions inventories and fixed assets.
- You support internal teams such as Controlling and Group Accounting with meaningful financial analyses that drive better decision-making.
- You contribute to smooth and compliant tax preparation and help ensure adherence to all relevant tax regulations.
- You actively engage with internal teams to gather information clarify accounting requirements and ensure all processes run smoothly.
- You handle ad-hoc inquiries from internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and align closely with the team lead.
- You support the successful execution of annual financial audits and tax audits.
- You collaborate with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accurate transparent and efficient financial processes.
Who you are
- You already have several years of relevant professional experience in the field of accounting and are confident in closing HGB accounts
- You have successfully completed a degree or commercial training ideally with further training as a certified accountant
- You have comprehensive accounting knowledge according to German GAAP (HGB)
- You have experience with debtors creditors and assets
- You like to work independently in a structured and careful manner and bring a high degree of motivation and initiative with you
- You are interested in and enjoy actively helping to shape existing processes.
- You are fluent in English and German
