What are we looking for
We are looking for an individual with strong verbal and written communication skills who is skilled in public speaking and can perform in person and online training. You should understand information technology principles and practices be familiar with library administration cataloging and circulation procedures and standards and know how to configure and resolve problems in an integrated library system (ILS).
We require a bachelors degree in education or information technology and 2 years of experience working as a trainer and help desk support. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Preferred qualifications include experience with instructional design principles learning theories managing an LMS Moodle and experience with library technology and library automation systems.

MSL is an agency of the Montana state government. What will you be doing
Montana Shared Catalog Trainer
You will be the subject matter expert that designs materials and curriculum for the Montana Shared Catalog (MSC) Training Program. You will be responsible for creating maintaining and presenting training materials online and onsite for MSC member library staff.
* Lead training efforts by scheduling communicating organizing materials and providing training on all facets of the integrated library system.
* Create and update training resources.
* Survey and assess provided training.
* Provide technical support and assistance for member libraries.
* Respond to first level help desk tickets to resolve user access issues.
* Assist other MSC staff with developing solutions for system conflicts.
