What Youll Do
The Payroll Accounting Senior Associate is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and resolving complex payroll-related issues. This role requires a thorough understanding of payroll systems accounting principles and federal and state tax laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze audit and reconcile complex payroll processing data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Address and resolve intricate employee payroll issues ensuring a smooth and efficient payroll cycle.
- Research and interpret federal and state regulatory requirements concerning payroll.
- Resolve issues related to payroll taxes withholdings garnishments and wage/hour compliance.
- Respond to and support internal and external auditing and regulatory inquiries.
- Collaborate with system programmers to implement solutions or administer the companys payroll system potentially in conjunction with an outside service provider.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Masters degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
- OR Applicants without a bachelors degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.

- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing analysis and reconciliation within a complex organizational structure.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations tax laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify and resolve complex payroll issues.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal for interacting with employees management and external agencies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
