Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminarys campus the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
The After-Care/Extended Day Aide provides supervision support and enrichment for students enrolled in the school or programs extended day services. This role ensures a safe positive and engaging environment during after-school hours through structured activities homework support and consistent behavioral expectations.
Maintain active supervision of students at all times.
Ensure a safe clean and orderly environment for indoor and outdoor activities.
Follow all safety emergency and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
Address minor conflicts using constructive positive guidance.
Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities (arts games crafts outdoor play etc.).
Support students with homework or quiet study time as needed.
Prepare and distribute snacks following program guidelines.
Help set up and clean up program spaces before and after activities.
Communicate effectively and professionally with students parents and staff.
Report behavioral or safety concerns to the program coordinator promptly.
Work cooperatively with team members to maintain a supportive and consistent environment.
Assist with attendance tracking parent pick-up verification and program documentation.
Follow all program policies confidentiality guidelines and mandated reporting requirements.
Experience working with children in a school camp or childcare setting preferred.
Ability to manage groups of children and maintain a positive environment.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Strong communication patience and problem-solving skills.
