Maintain and Improve Our Park
Youll help care for and improve the spaces that support animals staff and guests. From routine upkeep to larger improvement projects your work keeps Tanganyika running safely and efficiently.

What Youll Do
- Provide strongLeadership Management and Accountability (LMA)to your team fostering a culture of ownership collaboration and growth.
- Large portion of position will be in office but has the ability to go onsite to support team as needed and work on projects
- Oversee and assist with preventive corrective and emergency maintenance
- Assign and monitor work orders inspections and projects
- Ensure facilities buildings and equipment meet safety and operational standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently
- Schedule staff and coordinate coverage for daily operations and special projects
- Track maintenance needs supplies and inventory
- Communicate clearly with leadership and other departments regarding timelines and priorities
- Assist with vendor coordination and oversight when needed
- Promote and enforce safety procedures and best practices
- Maintain clean organized and safe work areas
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Standardize processes and support continuous improvement
What You Bring
- 35 years of maintenance experience including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of general maintenance (electrical plumbing HVAC carpentry etc.)
- Experience with animal enclosures ideal but not required
- Proven ability to lead a team and hold others accountable
- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Comfortable using work order systems schedules and basic tech
- Ability to see and plan for big picture projects
