Job Purpose and Impact

The DT&D Senior Software Sourcing Specialist (IT Sr. Buyer) will be part of the Cargill Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Functions global Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) sourcing team. Specific responsibilities include cross-regional sourcing activities such as leading RFPs and negotiating master agreements amendments and renewals with IT software/cloud suppliers. Responsibilities also include ongoing contract and pipeline this role you will strategically manage global stakeholders and key supplier relationships in alignment with the category strategy.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage contracts savings pipeline and stakeholders for assigned portfolio.
  • Execute highly complex sourcing events.
  • Negotiate and interpret complex software and cloud agreements including related services agreements.
  • Compile and analyze statistical data to resolve feasibility of buying products and establish price objectives.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and analyze supplier operations to resolve factors that affect prices and the lowest cost consistent with quality reliability and ability to meet required schedules.
  • Drive the implementation of global sourcing decisions.
  • Lead key global supplier and stakeholder relationships.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Collaborate with Category Leads and other team members as appropriate during project execution.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience including direct experience negotiating US-based IT Software and/or Cloud contracts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years of related work experience

The expected salary for this position is approximately $120000 to $140000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location certifications education and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal.
