Job Summary
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 - 10 years of hands-on DevOps experience with ownership of production systems.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Proven expertise in Kubernetes and Docker.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python Go or Java) with production experience.
- Experience operating and supporting 247 production environments with strong security and reliability requirements.
- Solid understanding of cloud security data protection and privacy best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Own keep the lights on responsibility for all production environments including availability performance and reliability.
- Act as the primary owner for data security and privacy at the platform and infrastructure level.
- Design build and maintain cloud-native and scalable architectures preferably on Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and manage infrastructure automation using Kubernetes Docker Terraform Ansible or CloudFormation.
- Own monitoring alerting logging and observability ensuring proactive issue detection and fast resolution.
- Lead incident management root cause analysis (RCA) and 247 on-call support for production systems.
- Automate and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable safe consistent and reliable deployments.
- Manage application deployments across distributed systems and enforce deployment standards and maintenance windows.
- Optimize infrastructure performance and control cloud costs through efficient resource utilization.
- Provide operational leadership and engineering support for multiple large-scale distributed applications.
