Compensation Information

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience

  • Mechanic Technician I: $23.23 - $41.80/hourly
    • Potential Annual Earnings: $138000
  • Mechanic Technician II. $26.73 - $48.12/hourly
    • Potential Annual Earnings: $163000
  • Mechanic Technician III: $30.77 - $55.39/hourly
    • Potential Annual Earnings: $203000
      • Average annual earnings are an estimationdependent on hours worked per week overtime hours worked product service line location and position. An offer of employment with Halliburton does not guarantee employment for any length of time. Actual pay will be discussed and finalized at the time of the offer.
  • Starting schedule: Monday-Friday 10-14 hours/day (hours may vary based on business needs)

Job Description

Job Duties:

  • Under general supervision performs preventive/predictive maintenance diagnostics and repairs a variety of mechanical equipment relative to their assigned location.
  • Performs function testing to verify equipment readiness after maintenance.
  • Must be proficient in understanding/interpreting mechanical schematics/drawings/prints.
  • Ensures adherence to and accurate maintenance of as well as input of data into Halliburtons system of record.
  • This role is responsible for following specific and detailed work processes within the Halliburton Management System (HMS) during daily job activities.
  • Performs own work and assists others as directed.
  • Responsible for ensuring duties are performed in a safe efficient and effective manner.
  • Job tasks correctly performed impact indirectly on cost containment efficiency profitability or operations.
  • Consequences of error are easily measured and can be confined.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum skills may be acquired through a qualified technical school certificate or equivalent related experience.
  • Basic set of hand tools is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications include an A.S. degree or Certificate in Diesel Technology with previous experience as a mechanic working with heavy duty equipment.
  • Must have a current and valid drivers license and clean motor vehicle record.
  • Basic skillset for brake replacement and DOT testing of braking system diesel engine/transmission/hydraulic/suspension and electrical system knowledge and experience required. Must be knowledgeable to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
  • Basic compuer skills such as Microsoft Suite (Outlook Word Teams Excel etc.) required.

Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience (2) additional job requirements and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education experience and skill level a variety of job opportunities might be available including Mechanic Technician I and Mechanic Technician III.
