The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) on site ensuring that all work is executed in compliance with project specifications approved procedures and applicable standards.
1- Implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
2- Based on the project design document execution scheme and project quality control criteria prepare the project quality control scheme and supervise the quality of the site work accordingly.
3- Participate in fieldwork inspect critical construction procedures and key points such as foundation major structure support and so on. Meanwhile inspect the material parts and equipment accordingly.
4- Inspect the whole project execution.
5- Investigate and report the quality problems in a timely manner as per the regulations.
6- Investigate and handle the quality accident and provide the investigation report in a timely manner.
7- Participate in the clients inspection and acceptance.
8- Check the quality inspection documents provided by clients or third parties are in line with the quality standard and criteria.
9- Review and approve method statements ITPs and material submittals.
10- Make a quality inspection report.
11- Conduct site inspections for civil and interfacing works.
12- Identify record and follow up on NCRs and corrective actions.
13- Participate in internal and external quality audits.
Requirements
Special training technology use and language skills:
1- Fluent communication skills in English.
2- Professional software such as AutoCAD and UG.
3- Project management and quality management training.
COMPETENCIES:
1 Strong understanding of QA/QC systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
2 Experience in HV substation civil and infrastructure works.
3 Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
4 Familiar with the power sector and having experience in substation is a preference.
5 Strong documentation and reporting skills.
6 Good teamwork sense and active in work.
7 High responsibility sense and professional attitude.
8 Excellent communication and coordination skills within the organization and with clients.
9 Experience with utility projects and international standards (ASTM BS IEC)
