About Our Team:

Our Water Management Consultancy operates at the interface between people and the water environment. Our services span:

• Flood and coastal erosion risk management.
• Integrated catchment management.

Current Vacancies:

Were looking for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to help lead and grow our world-class flood risk management team. We currently have openings for Assistant Flood Risk Consultants in Swansea and Cardiff.

Who Were Looking For

Were seeking technical experts with a growing profile in the flood risk management industry capable of leading hydraulic and hydrological modelling projects including 1D and 2D models for rivers surface water and sewers.

You should have:

• Strong project management skills.
• Commercial awareness.
• Confidence in leading technical work.
• A passion for mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent client-facing and collaborative working skills.

Requirements:

• A degree in Geography Science or Civil Engineering (ideally with an MSc or postgraduate qualification).
• Experience or working knowledge of 1D-2D hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller ESTRY TUFLOW InfoWorks ICM) or a strong desire to learn.
• GIS skills or a willingness to develop them.
• Experience in flood risk analysis for planning development and design.
• Experience in hydrological assessments or a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Define project scope manage resources and oversee project delivery.
• Lead technical work in data analysis hydraulic modelling hydrology GIS and reporting.
• Collaborate with environmental scientists engineers and planners.
• Support business development including tendering and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop expertise in project procedures including financial and change control reporting presenting and quality assurance.
• Assist project managers and directors in delivering a range of strategic infrastructure projects.
