Lower Division Music Teacher Grades PK-1:
Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time early childhood music teacher for the 2026-2027 school year for students in pre-Kindergarten through first grade. The ideal candidate will have training in the Orff Schulwerk approach to music education (or similar) and proficiency on the piano or keyboard. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree in Music or Education and experience teaching in an elementary music program. A good sense of humor a positive outlook and an appreciation of the unique qualities of early childhood are essential.
Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly grow professionally significantly contribute to the life of the school and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
The appointment will begin August 2026 and is a full-time position with full benefits. The compensation package will be very competitive nationally and commensurate with experience degree attainment and the national independent school and college markets.
