Job Summary

Role

The Painter will be reporting directly to the Field Engineer (Mechanical). The position includes but not limits to paint the interior and exterior of structures buildings and other surfaces and repair surfaces according to instructions with various tools for Ultrafiltration (UF)/ reverse osmosis (RO) plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Painter is responsible to perform the below tasks but not limited to

Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls repairing holes or removing old paint
Mixing matching and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces
Blend paints and other materials to achieve the right color or texture and paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner
Preparing the surrounding area by covering with cloth or plastic to prevent messes
Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project
Taping off areas as needed
Choosing and purchasing paint brushes and other supplies from vendors.
Obey and maintains high EHS performance on the site accomplishments for all maintenance activities.
Optimize and assist with the development of operational quality system procedures/guidelines/documents for Water Treatment.
Ensures to adheres to EHS & Quality processes and procedures Checks job sites for potential hazards and reports when things against company policies.
Maintains appropriate housekeeping for plant facilities cooperating with other departments.
Ability to work independently most of the time but report to his supervisors.

Qualifications :

Trade certificate/ITI.
Proven experience as a painter at least 3 years work experience
Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select mix and apply them
Solid knowledge of commercial painting techniques
Conscientious with great attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Ability to work on prioritized & emergency needs of the plant maintenance.
Ability to establish and maintain relationship with coworkers & supervisors.

Additional Information :

Experience in water/wastewater treatment plant activities.
Working experience in GCC country.
